Celebrating 200 Years of Sándor Petőfi's Legacy

Today marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of one of Hungary's greatest poets, Sándor Petőfi. To commemorate this special day, the Petőfi Literary Museum in Budapest hosted Welsh poet Twm Morys and the Wales Literature Exchange. This event was even further celebrated by a collaboration with Bangor University. This is just one example of how far-reaching Petőfi's legacy has become since his death in 1849. The collaboration with Bangor University is part of their ongoing effort to foster international literary exchange between countries like Hungary and Wales.
