Popular actor and singer Sakai Masato has left his talent agency, Tanabe Agency, after being with them for over 20 years. The news was announced yesterday on the official website of the agency. Sakai first joined Tanabe Agency in 1999, when he was only 18 years old. He made his debut as an actor that same year in a drama series called “The Great Detective”. Since then, he has gone on to star in numerous films and television shows, as well as releasing several albums and singles as a solo artist. In addition to his acting career, Sakai is also known for his philanthropic work and advocacy for social issues such as poverty and human rights. He is a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and regularly donates to charities around the world. When asked about why he decided to leave Tanabe Agency after so many years, Sakai said that it was simply time for him to move on to new opportunities and challenges. He thanked the agency for all their support over the years and wished them luck in their future endeavors. Sakai's fans are eagerly awaiting news of what projects he will be taking on next now that he is no longer with Tanabe Agency. Until then, they can look forward to seeing him appear in upcoming movies such as “A Story of Samurai Cooking” which is set for release later this year.
