Windows and Wheels

This poem explores how cars have windows like houses do but cannot move on their own like houses do because something else entirely helps them go - engines and fuel!

A cartoon image of a house with four windows standing next to a cartoon image of a red car with four windows driving away from each other. The house is standing still while the car is moving forward with smoke coming out of its exhaust pipe. The background is filled with blue sky and white clouds.

Windows of glass, in a car they pass, But for a house they just stay put. A car has windows, but that's not why it goes, It’s something else entirely that makes it run. The window frames the view outside, But the car needs more than this to ride. Engines and fuel are what make them move, And without them there would be no groove. Windows may help us see where we go, But they don't help the car with its show. For houses they remain still and stable, They can’t move on their own accordable. Cars have windows and can move fast, Houses have windows that will always last. But when it comes to motion there is a difference between them two; So it’s not the windows that make the car go, it’s something else entirely true!
