The Risk of Voice Chat

This poem reflects on the risks associated with Roblox giving voice chat access to everyone - namely trolling and cyberbullying - while also highlighting how this new feature can benefit content creators in terms of creating more engaging experiences for players.

Now that I think about it, Roblox giving voice chat to everyone is probably not a good idea. The risk of hearing voices that aren't kind or sweet, Gives way to a world where kids can be unkindly treated. The anonymity and ease of use gives trolls more power, And makes it harder for those who are targeted to cower. Though it may give more room for content creators to thrive, It opens the door for those who don't have much drive. Here's someone VC roasting me from Rate my Avatar; I can only imagine what other comments they've said so far. The audio is unhinged and makes me feel quite blue, I wish there was something I could do! It's hard to believe this is what our world has come to, That we're allowing such hurtful words into our view. Voice chat has its advantages but also its risks; We must be careful with the power that technology gives.
